One is Jepen dance is often done by a native tribe Kutai in East Kalimantan, namely, Jepen dance is accompanied by a distinctive singing and rhythms of traditional music called Tingkilan. Gambus instrument consists of a type of six-string guitar that is not much different with the mandolin. This psaltery originally came from the Middle East which was then taken by the Malay traders to the coast of East Kalimantan and ketipung a kind of small drums. usually played to accompany the song as the Middle East.
